The Leader of the 9th Cross River State House of Assembly who also doubles as the Member representing Ogoja State Constituency at the state legislature, Rt. Hon. Peter Odey, has been reminded that he is yet to congratulate the new executives of the Peoples Democratic Party in his state NEGROIDHAVEN can report authoritatively.

This development is viewed against the backdrop of Odey suggesting on Thursday that the United States Vice President Mike Pence would have distanced himself from President Trump and congratulate President-elect Joe Biden and Vice President-elect Kamala Harris.

Odey’s Facebook thread

Reacting to the development, Odey observed ‘…As much as I feel it’s belated. He (Mike Pence) lost his chance a long time ago of being a true American hero. He should have congratulated President elect and distanced himself from the bullish behaviours of Trump.’

A netizen, namely, Anthony Duke, reminded Odey of sharing similar traits with Pence: ‘…Leader, it’s better late than never, however you have not congratulated the new executives of your party’.

Duke’s retort to Odey…

The likely supposition from Duke’s observation is that, Odey is keeping mum in suspected loyalty to Gov Ben Ayade.

Recall that on Wednesday the Supreme Court of Nigeria reportly ruled in favour of some members of the 9th National Assembly against the state leadership of the party and the State Governor in respect of disputes over the list of Wards and Chapters EXCO of the PDP in C’River.
