“I’m impressed with the capacity, dedication and leadership of Unical VC”, Says Gov. Ayade

The VC of the University of Calabar, Professor Florence Banku Obi has paid a courtesy call on Gov. Ben Ayade of Cross River State to invite him for the 34th convocation ceremony of the institution, scheduled to hold on March 27th at the Abraham Ordia stadium in Calabar.

Speaking during the visit, Prof. Ayade said that the VC has within the short period of assumption of office, demonstrated capability, dedication and leadership to the admiration of all.

“I’m highly impressed with this great daughter of Cross River. She is doing all of us proud as a good Ambassador of women.

I have no doubt in my mind that for Prof. Obi, the Vice Chancellorship of UNICAL is only a stepping stone for higher heights,” the Governor said.

The VC was received by the Governor, his Deputy, Professor Ivara Esu and the State Commissioner for Education.

The VC was accompanied on the visit by the Registrar of the University, Amb. Jammy Egbe, Director of CES, Prof. Franca Umo, SA, Tessy Mbu and others.
