Developing Story: N1 billion financial scandal rocks College of Education Akamkpa

Neighborhood Watch Organisation a civil society group in Calabar the Cross River capital metropolis has petitioned the Office of the Assistant Inspector General of Police, Zone 6 in respect of a suspected financial scandal amounting to one billlion Naira (N1, 000, 000, 000.00).

According to a petition sighted by our correspondent, and dated 31st January 2021 being signed by one Comr. Abas Martin the convener of the CSO, it is stated that ‘Information available to us shows that one Mr Victor Uwa has in the past one year made huge withdrawals of over one billion Naira from his First Bank account: 3114288306. We urge your good office to investigate him immediately to ascertain the source of the money.’

In the attempt to unravel facts surrounding the financial flow to Uwa’s First Bank account, NEGROIDHAVEN can say on good authority that the cash is intricately connected to ongoing Tertiary Education Trust Fund (TETFUND) construction projects at the College of Education, Akamkpa.
