Ayade’s aide, Austine Ibok, facilitates establishment of S/South zonal office of Small Arms and Light Weapons to Calabar

The Special Adviser to the Governor of Cross River State on Amnesty Rehabilitation and Control of Small Arms and Light Weapons, Mr. Austine Ibok, has sent a thank you message to the President/Commander in Chief of the Arm Forces of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, President Muhammadu Buhari, and the Governor of Cross River State, Prof Ben Ayade, for the approval and acceptance to host and also operate the zonal office of the National Centre for Small Arms and Light Weapons, (NCCSALW) in Cross River State.

Reacting to the recent approval given by the President for the establishment of the South South Zonal Office of NCCSALW in Calabar, Mr. Ibok also appreciated the efforts of the National Security Adviser, Major General Babagana Mungonu(rtd) and the National Coordinator of the Organization, Major General Abba Muhammed Dikko (rtd) and other stakeholders for making sure that the organization’s zonal office is sited in Calabar.

Commending the pragmatic vision Gov. Ayade in bringing more dividends of democracy from the centre to the state, which will not only help in curbing insecurity in Cross River and other South South States, but also help in creating more jobs as manpower will be sourced locally, Mr. Ibok said the dividends of socketing to the centre by Ayade was beginning to manifest in different fold and a prove that the governor is on the right path.

He advised the people of Cross River State to work closely with President Muhammadu Buhari and Gov. Ben Ayade for more dividends of democracy and corporate with the National Coordinator of the Organization for effective utilization of the organization’s office in Calabar to achieve the aim for which it is established.
