The House of Assembly member-elect, who emerged winner of the just concluded Akpabuyo State Constituency/House of Assembly By-Elections has been congratulated by a PDP guber hopeful.
Rt. Hon. Daniel Asuquo aka Dansuki, a gubernatorial hopeful of the PDP for the 2023 general election congratulates Hon. Ekeng Edet, the PDP candidate and member-elect for the Akpabuyo State Constituency by-election that took place on the 26th of February, 2022 NEGROIDHAVEN has confirmed.
Addressing newsmen in Calabar on Sunday, 27th February 2022, the lawmaker commended the electorates for their overwhelming support to the party and the candidate of the party despite the government’s overbearing on the electorates to sway their voting patterns and influence the outcome of the election.
This victory is for the people and our sister who lost her life in the struggle. She stood firm for her party and the victory of the party is indeed her victory which demonstrates her firm resolves in the values and norms she believes in. May the Almighty God bless her soul and grant her eternal rest, Amen.

You demonstrated leadership amidst the pockets of incidences that almost bedeviled the electioneering processes. I must also commend the leadership of the party in all the wards of Akpabuyo, the chapter, the state, and our ever-supportive House of Representatives Member and colleague, Apostle Essien Ayi.
Our strength was evident in the unity we displayed. The echoes of this victory mark an end to the prevalent culture of oppressive political agenda, conspicuous consumption encouraged by greed, false propaganda, economic exploitation, social discrimination, greed, and selfishness which were resisted by the people.
It indeed gives us the insight to understand that PDP is the party the people want and need to right the wrongs of all our economic and social-political misadventures.
