A fire outbreak, Wednesday, has gutted the Department of Continuous Education And Development Studies of the University of Calabar, Calabar NEGROIDHAVEN can report authoritatively.
The cause of the conflagration which happened around 10AM is yet to be ascertained as at press time.
Both academic staff and students were seen to be making frantic efforts to put out the fire as it roared.
This is the third instance the University of Calabar is experiencing a fire incident this year (2022). The previous two incidents which happened within 2 weeks occurred as follows: Department of Mathematics, 30 January 2022; History And International Studies Department, 06 February 2022; Department Of Continuous Education And Development Studies, 09 February 2022.
