The South has been a very coordinated bloc and if you have been following the politics of Cross River State keenly you will realise that the South has never been divided on any issue and the South is in total agreement that power should return to the South.

Governor Ben Ayade is a humane leader. He likes to build consensus and he is not a dictator who believes that his word is law. Governor Ben Ayade believes in galvanising the process by bringing everybody together as a father. When there were contentions about the old and new APC, leadership stepped up and buried down the old and new syndrome and brought everybody together to bond as a family and that reflected in the rancorous free congresses.

I can state categorically that the All Progressives Congress has a compact party at all levels and the system has been sanitized with the political reconciliation and reintegration. But there is need for the party at the national level to take steps to put the house together to make sure that APC has a national working committee that is in sync with what the States are doing to naturally stabilise the system.

It is Important for the South to let people know that they have benefited a whole lot from the Ben Ayade led administration. The South needs to make deliberate efforts to market this government to make people know that indeed Governor Ben Ayade loves the South. Taking a stand today with the South to make the declaration that power has to return to the South is something that the whole South must celebrate. The declaration Governor Ben Ayade has made is not something that an average politician would do. The entire South owes it to Governor Ben Ayade as a duty to stand by him firmly to end strong.

It is the turn of the South for equity, for peace and for justice.
