There are seven government ministries in Cross River which are without commissioners.
They are Ministry of Health, Ministry of Water Resources, Ministry of New Cities, Ministry of Climate Change, Ministry of Women Affairs, Ministry of Information, and Ministry of Infrastructure.
This vacancy came about as a result of defection of commissioners from the People’s Democratic Party, PDP to the All Progressives Congress, APC. However, the ministry of health is without a commissioner because she resigned a month ago to contest for the office APC National Women Leader. The Ministry of Information is the oldest of ministries without a commissioner.
The position has been held that since these ministries have permanent secretaries, the ministries are not suffering.
