I felicitate with my constituents, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) family and its leadership, All Cross Riverians and Nigerians as we mark 23 years of uninterrupted Democracy.
The Fourth Republic journey that began in 1999 seems to be yielding positive results in the area of providing an accountable governance and participatory democracy.
No doubt, we are still faced with lack of clear cut economic polices; lack of job oppprtunites, lack of basic necessities of life and policy direction that could transform our civil service structure to enable it drive government programmes at all levels of governance.
But as we move on like Trojan Horse, those of us at the Legislative Arm of Government shall continue to work towards providing enabling laws and interfacing with relevant authorities and agencies with a view to builing strong institutions for a sustainable democracy.
So, as we celebrate the hard- earned Democracy, I call on all democrats to always play the game by the rules by thinking of the nation first becuase united we stand, divided we fall.
