…says massive intervention ongoing

The Director General of the Cross River State Waste Management Agency Mr Sunday Oko has reiterated the agency’s commitment in keeping the capital city of Cross River State clean.

This is coming after a weeklong intensive evacuation exercise round the metropolis down to the southern part of Calabar.

Mr Oko noted that the modalities are in place to clean up the entire city and sustain the clean and green status as the major challenge which hinged on dump site expansion has been concluded.

At the end of the exercise, we expect a follow up, not to allow the waste pile up the way it is. We will continue our daily evacuation because the challenges we had, we have surmounted them”, he added.

As at press time, work on site was ongoing at Target by Goldie, White House by Chamley and Target by Chamley.
