Tobi Amusan nominated as Female Athlete of the Year

World Record-holding athlete, Tobi Amusan has been nominated as Female Athlete of the Year NEGROIDHAVEN can report authoritatively.

There are three voting categories, firstly World Athletics Council (50%); then, World Athletics Family (25%), and finally, Online Fans. The virtual votes constitute twenty-five, 25 percent as well.

As at press time, reportedly Amusan has had the 25% votes across social media. For instance on Twitter she had 54.1 thousand retweets, 4,900 thousand likes on Facebook.

She is by these stats leading on social media category of the votes.

Recall that NEGROIDHAVEN had reported earlier that Amusan’s historic record of 12.12 secs had been ratified. As it stands, Tobi Amusan is now in the top 10, moving up 38 places to be ranked 5th in the world.

She holds World Champion, World record (12.12s), Diamond League Champion, African Champion, Commonwealth Champion, National Champion, with 17 wins in 25 races.

Amusan has also been awarded the Order of the Niger (OON), one of the country’s highest honours by President Muhammadu Buhari.
