Operators of commercial transportation vehicles/cabs as well as ordinary commuters all through Thursday experienced difficulty purchasing Premium Motor Spirit, PMS in Calabar the Cross River state capital city NEGROIDHAVEN can report authoritatively.
A male driver of a blue mini-bus explained to our correspondent that he wandered from North West filling station at Calabar-Odukpani highway in Calabar North down to some filling stations at the long stretch of Mayne Avenue in Calabar South but still could not access the petroleum product.
Later in the night, another elderly operator of a (commercial) cab disclosed that he doubts there will be PMS on Friday seeing that the product was not available for sale all through Thursday.
A female private owner of a salon car disclosed that she could not purchase the product so, her movement was restricted for a larger part of Thursday. She would later disclose that she bought PMS at black-market rate for N400 per litre.
Others said they bought at N250. The observation by some is that while the product is very costly, it is still scarce and Nigerians are barely talking.
