The State House of Assembly has confirmed Mr. Oden Ewa for appointment as a Commissioner in the State NEGROIDHAVEN has confirmed.
Ewa’s confirmation was sequel to the report of the Committee on Judiciary, Public Service Matters, Public Petition and Conflict Resolution by its Chairman Rt. Hon. Davis Etta (Abi State Constituency).
In the report, Etta disclosed that the Committee found the nominee to be qualified for appointment into the State Executive Council and recommended his confirmation.
Also speaking the Member representing Yakurr 1 State Constituency Hon Cyril James Omini extolled the qualities of the nominee describing him as a successful business man.
In her remarks, the Member representing Yakurr 2 State Constituency Hon. Mercy Akpama described the nominee as a reliable hand and a youth mobiliser in Yakurr LGA.
The Speaker of the Assembly, Rt Hon Elvert Ayambem commended Governor Bassey Otu for nominating Ewa whom he said will add value to the State Executive Council.
On his part, Ewa thanked the Speaker and Members for the confirmation.
You may recall that the nominee Mr Oden Ewa who is from Yakurr LGA was absent when other nominees were screened and subsequently confirmed by the House.
