‘We’ll further strengthen the bonds between us’ – C’River Assembly Speaker tells Akwa Ibom

The Speaker of the Cross River State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Elvert Ayambem, and the Deputy Governor of Cross River State, Rt. Hon. Peter Odey, recently paid a visit to the Deputy Governor of Akwa Ibom State, Sen. (Dr) Akon Eyakenyi, with the goal of enhancing unity and lasting peace between the two neighbouring states. Sen. (Dr) Eyakenyi, the Akwa Ibom State Deputy Governor, warmly welcomed the meeting, considering it a crucial step in the current circumstances NEGROIDHAVEN can report.

Sen. (Dr) Eyakenyi expressed her thoughts on potential challenges that could affect the strong historical relationship between the two States. Rt. Hon. He emphasised the importance of democratic unity and expressed confidence in the Cross River State Government’s dedication to maintaining harmonious relations with the people of Akwa Ibom State.

The Deputy Governor of Akwa Ibom state welcomed the delegation from Cross River state, which included current and former members of the Akwa Ibom State House of Assembly, as well as other notable members of the State Executive Council. Ayambem praised the collaborative spirit of Hon. Sampson Idiong, the Deputy Chief Whip of the Akwa Ibom State House of Assembly, who played a crucial role in hosting and facilitating the visit.
