SERVICOM Desk Officers Appointed in Cross River South for Enhanced Hospital Services

Calabar – In a significant move aimed at elevating the performance of government-owned hospitals, the Cross River State Ministry of Health has inaugurated SERVICOM Desk Officers in the Southern region of the state NEGROIDHAVEN has learnt.

During the inauguration, Dr. Henry Egbe Ayuk, the Commissioner for Health, represented by the Ministry’s Permanent Secretary, Dr. Pauline Obute, urged the appointed officers to consider themselves as ambassadors in the Ministry’s efforts to reshape and fortify the healthcare system. He emphasized the role of SERVICOM Desk Officers as agents of positive change, stressing their vital contribution to the enhancement of healthcare facilities across the region.

Elder Ajuk Nyam, the Director of Administration, extolled SERVICOM for its reputation of ensuring efficient service delivery. He called upon the selected Desk Officers to fulfill their terms of reference, emphasizing their crucial role as the ‘eyes of the facilities’ they represent.

Mr. Bassey Edet, Director of SERVICOM at the Ministry of Health, emphasized that the appointment of Desk Officers is a call to duty for the betterment of healthcare services. He urged them to provide their best to citizens, aligning their efforts with the state’s ‘Peoples First’ agenda. These Desk Officers will work closely with the ministry to ensure policy implementation, enforce compliance with public service rules, and guarantee the delivery of quality healthcare services to the public.

Their responsibilities also encompass educating citizens about their rights, promoting good leadership and accountability, addressing patient concerns, and facilitating the implementation of healthcare reforms. The Desk Officers will play a pivotal role in advancing the healthcare sector and upholding the commitment to efficient, timely, and transparent services in Cross River.
