With the November 2nd Local Government election approaching, Prince Effiom Bassey Effiong, APC’s chairmanship candidate for Akpabuyo, launched his ward-to-ward campaign tour, visiting Edem Odo/Edet Nsa and Atimbo East Wards. Large gatherings at Government Primary School, Ikot Edem Odo, and St. Peter’s Primary School field in Ikot Offiong Ambai underscored the rising support for Effiom’s candidacy, as key leaders, supporters, and residents gathered in support.
A recurring theme throughout Prince Effiom’s address was his heartfelt plea to Akpabuyo’s youth, urging them to set aside actions that cast a negative light on the area. He emphasized the importance of creating an environment ready for progress and prosperity, describing the potential “truckload of fortunes” waiting to uplift Akpabuyo if the community embraced positive change and unity.
The events also saw notable defections from PDP, LP, and other parties, with new supporters drawn to Prince Effiom’s leadership style and dedication to Akpabuyo’s development.
