A popular automobile paint dealer in Calabar South has been kidnapped by unknown gunmen this evening. The abduction happen at around 7:45pm in the busy Bassey Duke, Target, and Chamley junction.
According to eyewitness account, the popular car paint dealer, Joe-Kate Paint was alledgedly abducted by armed gunmen who accosted her as she was about to close for the day.
Shortly after the businesswomen was whisked away, an Anti-kidnapping police patrol team arrived the scene of the incident, which attracted a gathering of a small crowd, and made enquiry before speeding into Chamley street, in the direction of the kidnappers.
There were unconfirmed reports that the kidnappers have been intercepted at around Jebbs axis of the town, where she was taken into a swamp for onward movement to the creeks, using speedboat.
This recent kidnap has sparked a flurry of reaction especially on social media.
