Mon. 29th April, 2019, Cross River State Governor, Professor Ben Ayade, conducted a pharmaceutical certification expert from Good Manufacturing Practices ( GMP ) India, Mr. Dave Piyushkumar, around the Cross River State Pharmaceutical Factory alongside other pharmaceutical experts.
Good manufacturing practice (GMP) is a system for ensuring that products are consistently produced and controlled according to quality standards. It is designed to minimize the risks involved in any pharmaceutical production that cannot be eliminated through testing the final product.
Upon final certification, the state pharmaceutical factory, is expected to produce, dry syrup, capsules, tablets, water for injection, ointments and some nature based body cream.
The multimillion naira pharmaceutical factory, is one of the factories currently being built at the Ayade Industrial park in Calabar, Cross River State, by Governor Ben Ayade.
