Calabar, Nigeria — Residents of Calabar South will tomorrow, Thursday, have the opportunity to access free specialist healthcare services as Brothers Across Nigeria International (BAN) rolls out a comprehensive medical outreach at Henshaw Square, Egerton by Johnstone Street NEGROIDHAVEN can say.
Organised by the BAN Headquarters Medical Team under its SBC Program, the outreach is scheduled to begin at 9:00 a.m. prompt, offering a wide range of free medical services aimed at improving access to quality healthcare for underserved communities.
According to the organisers, attendees will benefit from eye checks, dental care, diabetes screening, blood pressure checks, HIV screening, malaria tests, HPV immunisation, medical consultations, free medications, and health education sessions. The programme also includes empowerment components to enhance community wellbeing.
The BAN Medical Team said the outreach is designed to address the growing need for early detection of common health conditions such as hypertension, diabetes, and malaria, noting that many residents lack access to regular medical check-ups.
“Preventive healthcare saves lives. This outreach is our contribution to ensuring that people—especially those in low-income communities—can receive timely medical attention without financial barriers,” one of the organizers stated.
Residents are encouraged to attend the outreach in large numbers, as organisers assure that qualified medical professionals and adequate supplies will be available to serve participants throughout the exercise.
The free medical outreach is part of BAN’s broader commitment to promoting community health, strengthening preventive care, and supporting vulnerable populations across the state.
