The game at Stamford – bridge against Crystal Palace ended 1-0 in favour of Chelsea. Before the start of the match it was Crystal Palace who won the toss of the coin as both sides change direction. Chelsea started the match in their usual manner on a low key and not too entertaining. Before the match Jose Mourinho has responded to criticism about his side been boring and he said they are just cautious and not boring.

After 44 minutes of goalless draw, it was Eden Michael Hazard who again had it all again. A moment of brilliance that caused him to be fouled as he played one-two with William after his trickery run into the penalty box of Crystal Palace earned him a penalty. Jose Mourinho's side needed three points to claim the trophy with three games to spare and Eden Hazard headed in the rebound after missing a first-half penalty.

Mourinho's 21st trophy of his prolific career was the Capital One Cup win at Wembley in March — the first of his second spell at Stamford Bridge — and now the Portuguese has a third Premier League title and Chelsea's fourth in 11 seasons.

The long awaited League trophy since 2010 has now been won by the return of the self acclaimed "special one".
