Prof. Osinbajo, the vice president of Nigeria had made a startling revelation which many Nigerians are reacting to as the validity and the logic for such equivocal expression.

The vice president while speaking yesterday Friday 26th of February 2016, at a religious pastors and leaders retreat held at the Fountain of Life Church in Ilupeju-Lagos argued, that the Federal Government within the last 10 years did not construct any single road.

In his words he proposes that:

“Unless we tackle graft, we may not be able to achieve something,”.

He further added that :

“The federal government in the past 10 years could not build a single new road, needless to say of repairing existing ones. Now we have a president who will not steal money and who will not allow anybody to steal money."

The above assertions have raised different actions, reactions, opinions as well as counter-opinions as some well meaning  Nigerians are rather worried if the above statement by the prof. Yemi Osinbanjo is in any case an excuse for President Buhari's supposed passivity and slow action as it regards forging our Nation forward for good.

One particular individual told Negroidhaven as he claimed anonymity that this is no time to shed blames, it is rather  a time for action.. positive action I mean.

In his words:

"Prof.Osinbanjo and his Boss Mr president Muhammad Buhari should stop giving excuses for a failure to act".

As he continues:

"They should stop shedding blames as an excuse for their inept and epileptic way of acting. Rather than shed blames they should 'man up' for the task ahead..Nigeria is in a state of socio economic recession and if  nothing is done pretty soon, she might become a total socio -political cum economic wreck. The fall in the standard of living; low calorie intake and the dwindling currency exchange rate is only a few of the signs."

In conclusion, the world will applaud only the courageous,  those who dared to act and change the systemic failure of a Nation from bad to better even at such times when things look bleak. It is a clarion call for the brave and courageous leader!
