Before the emergence of Sen Ben Ayade, Sen Liyel Imoke had played the game of the master whose intention no one could decipher. He had encouraged all his appointees to vie for governorship, rumours has it that he personally signed the resignation letter of some of those he encouraged but latter abandoned. Ntufam Fidelis Ugbo, Hon Legor Idagbo, Fr. Francis Agantem Eworo, Chief Peter Orjie etc remained assured of his support until the last day when he gave his final support to Sen Ayade. He practically left his old friends for a stranger.
After winning his election, Sen Ayade began his own game. After all he has bought his ticket as widely rumored. His interest was to build his personal structures, Sen Imoke was no longer that important. A point came Sen Liyel Imoke lost it all, he was no longer important. During the elections leading to Ward Congress, rumours had it that the governor had it all, Sen Imoke lost grip of even his home town.
It was a field day for Sen Ayade; by the way he had got so close to Sen Sheriff, there were great chances that Sheriff will have his way. Sen Liyel was calculated out of the game and perceived as one with a political future perceived as dead and buried. Then event changed, Sen Sheriff the god Sen Ayade had built his trust on lost in the Supreme Court, the goal shifted. The Sen Imoke that have gone into political exile is fully out, he is now the deciding voice of PDP CRS. Sen Ayade now on knees
On bended knees Sen Ayade had made the home of Sen Imoke his second home, he has realised once again the importance of Sen Imoke. Sen Imoke is acting his person, he acts the script of being appeased, he is ready to attend all functions he is invited to and given utmost respect as the don of CRS politics. Plus or minus Sen Imoke is gaining back his lost relevance, he also has the opportunity  of getting close to Sen Ayade for the final strike
The game is becoming interesting, we are watching but emerging youths in Cross River state promises to change the narrative. Surely the elite will not have it as before.
