The University of Calabar (Unical) Post Graduate Students Union Government (PGSG) have assured the Vice Chancellor, Prof. Zana Akpagu that they are solidly behind his administration's developmental strides.
In a letter signed by the PGSG President and Secretary General, Abanda Uket and Levi David respectively, the Students commended the VC over the achievements and successes recorded under two years of his administration.
They lauded the strides of the Prof Akpagu led administration in the area of restoration of pride of students on campus, massive ongoing infrastructural development, cordial relationship with Staff and the improved aesthetics cum cleanliness of the institution's landscape.
The Union also noted with pride the manner in which the Vice Chancellor conducted the recent gubernatorial election in Anambra State describing him as a dependable umpire and worthy ambassador.
They congratulated the VC on awards such as Award of Excellence for selfless service by NIPR, Best University Website, Best Federal University on Social Media and Best Performing Vice Chancellor in Nigeria as recent achievements engendered by hardwork and unbiased services.
While pledging to partner with the VC to take the University to another level of development, they however urged him not to relax in his good works or be deterred by distraction from what they described as "chronic critics".
