Apex students group in Cross River State, National Association of Cross River State Students (NACRISS) Worldwide have informed that they will be observing the 11 August 2018 by-election into the Cross River State House of Assembly.
The National President of NACRISS WW, Comr Akpanke Bebiawhorbe, who notified of this development saying it wouldn't be the usual 5 & 6 spanner business, said that this would be a litmus test for the 2019 elections.
According to him, 'This will be like a litmus test for 2019 elections. I encourage all NACRITES from Obudu to go without fear, favour and intimidation, and make a decision. Gone are those days where students are used as thugs.
Our status is changing.
'No more 5$6 spanner business. Your commitment towards students welfare will speak for you. We must possess our possession "Aluta continua,Victoria acerta".
NACRISS has been acknowledged by INEC as an observer.
Recall that late Hon Stephen Ukpukpen who died on Wednesday 30th May was buried in his home town on the 21st July 2018. The Obudu State Constituency has been declared vacant.
