BOKI —The Honourable Commissioner for New Cities in Cross River State, Mr George Abang Ekpungu Esq., and his entire family of wife and children have escaped death by the whiskers NEGROIDHAVEN has confirmed. The Police Public Relations Officer PPRO Ms Irene Ugbo has confirmed the report journalists in Calabar, the state capital.
Report has it they that assassins broke into his country home in Kakwagom community in Boki LGA, in Central Senatorial District of the State.
The unfortunate incident which happened in the mid night saw thugs shooting sporadically into the rooms of the house.
According NAN Senior Correspondent George Odok Jnr, ‘Thugs invaded his house at night and shot sporadically in almost all the rooms in his house. His car and other valuables were equally destroyed.’
The remote cause into the development hasn’t been identified. However, it may not be suspectedly far away from politics especially as a build up to the 9th March guber elections in the state and county at large.
The security agencies must step into this matter and apprehend the culprits.
