As a continuance of the rich cultural art of the Efik people, the Youths of Calabar South have unveiled the Nsidung Masquerade which parades annually on Easter Monday to celebrate the Resurrection of Christ. This year's own is special because it also celebrates the re-election of the State Governor, His Excellency, Sen. (Prof.) Ben Ayade.

The State Commissioner for Health and a proud Efik daughter, Dr. Inyang Asibong, who is fondly referred to as 'Our Own' by the Calabar South people was given the honour of unveiling the Easter Masque as the Mother of the Community.
'It gives me great joy to have the honor of unveiling this masque, and the crowd here shows how passionate Calabar South people are with respect to their culture and traditions.
The masque is in sync with the 2019 Carnival theme 'Ayade Tutu Mkpong' to celebrate the reelection of His Excellency, Sen. (Prof.) Ben Ayade to continue his industrialization drive in the State.' -Dr.  Inyang Asibong, Commissioner for Health.
The Commissioner was also presented an award by the youths of the community for being a worthy ambassador of the community and for her numerous humanitarian activities in across the State through her office.
