‘No more honey moon’… MD of Water Board discloses to re-instated staff of CRSWBL

Newly re-instated staff of the Cross River State Water Board Limited, have expressed their appreciation to Governor Ben Ayade, for his true leadership, by restating them back to their jobs.
They however assured the governor of their total support and commitment to their jobs,while praying for the continuous success of his administration.
 In the same vein, the Managing Director of the Water board, Chief Victor Effiom Ekpo, has charged the re-instated staff to gear up for the new challenges facing the State Water Board.
Chief Victor Effiom-Ekpo, who stated this while addressing the re-instated staff, in the board room of the State Water Board observed that the current Water Board is completely a new brand away from what they left behind revealing the days of honey moon in the State Water Board were over.
He said Water Board is now grappling with the Challenges of paying up back log of indebtedness from both international development partners and local investors including electricity and paying huge wage bills adding any staff who can not cope with existing demands for hard work and discipline will be made to face disciplinary action.
He however assured the staff of the preparedness of management to reward any staff who demonstrate commitment to assigned responsibilities and directed that the re-instated staff be constituted into teams of four to embark on intensive house-to-house revenue drive.  He tasked management and the staff to be very serious with their work.
Also advising the staff permanent secretary in the ministry of water resources, Dr. Bassey enjoined the re-instated staff to cooperate with management of the water board in the task to achieve more efficiency and productivity.
