The Cross River State Government through the Ministry of International Development Cooperation has visited some project sites in the state with a view to bring in international projects that would be beneficial to the state.

Governor of the state, Prof. Ben Ayade, who went round some of the sites yesterday with the Commissioner for MIDC, Dr Inyang Asibong, said the state was exploring possible ways of improving the livelihood of its citizenry.

Ayade said that some of the State’s ongoing projects at different stages of completion would generate more employment for the people and also improve the state revenue profile when fully operational.

Responding, Dr Asibong commended the governor for his drive in creating a sustainable and enabling environment for International Donors to thrive, while also providing the required counterpart fund for interventions.

She said that her Ministry was working in collaboration with relevant International agencies with a view to uplift the vulnerable and create social livelihood packages and Work Fare for the people.
