Agitations for a progressive Nigeria devoid of division and ethnic cleansing should be the responsibility of every responsible citizen but the government must address the known inequality in the country.

Nigeria’s Minister of Transportation, Rotimi Amaechi gave the advice during the convocation lecture of the University of Calabar Friday, where he was a guest lecturer.

Amaechi said the extreme poverty in the country is a serious concern, and it deserves urgent attention before the population with extreme poverty will overrun the elite.

He, however, said President Muhammadu Buhari is trying his best to correct the age-long decay in infrastructures and value system, saying the University of Calabar has provided opportunities to find possible answers to the National Questions.
