Former Senate Leader of the 7th Senate of the Federal Republic of Nigeria and a Senior Advocate of Nigeria, Senator Victor Ndoma-Egba has advised the Governor of Cross River State and leader of the All Progressives Congress in the State, Senator Prof. Ben Ayade to ensure that his new political abode, the APC, is not like his former party, the PDP.

Senator Ndoma-Egba offered the advise during the interactive session Gov. Ayade had with the leaders and stakeholders of the APC in Cross River State at the Events Hall of the Calabar Mall, Cultural Centre Complex, Calabar. He started by reminding everyone that Cross River State was too weak and vulnerable to be in political opposition in Nigeria. He commended the governor for taking the bold step in defecting from the PDP to the APC.

The former Senate Leader reiterated his support and that of other leaders of the APC in Cross River State for the Governor. He reminded the Governor that such overwhelming support places a huge responsibility on the Governor to reciprocate by ensuring that he remains a consultative, inclusive, democratic, transparent and accountable leader not just for the APC but Cross River State as a whole.

In his response, Governor Ayade assured all the leaders and stakeholders of the APC in Cross River State that members will henceforth enjoy the status of ruling party members. In addition, he promised that moving forward, “we, the APC in Cross River State, will seat down and agree as a family, such that not even one office will be lost to the opposition party.”
