Asu Okang the former Commissioner for Information and Orientation has finally opened hours after his sack through a Tuesday release on his social media timeline NEGROIDHAVEN has confirmed.

Okang re-echoed the sentiments of a first century Christian cleric, ‘I have fought a good fight, I have kept the faith’, continuing he said ‘…and so, very confident that ‘the melodies ahead will be sweeter’.

Excerpts:

Dear Cross Riverians,

It is no more news, that the obvious political currents have altered the dynamics of our collective existence in the state, and therefore, decisions must be made by actors on the turf. Moving forward, I must be seen to do same.

Let me therefore, thank His Excellency, Sir Ben Ayade, Governor, Cross River State, for the opportunity given me to serve our state, first as Commissioner for Youth and Sports and then that of Information and Orientation.

The platform was a huge one and has no doubt, impacted me positively.

I thank my friends, family and political associates for their prayers and support while this very important phase of my life lasted.

As I hasten to blink, looking back, I have cause to say like Apostle Paul, “I have fought a good fight, I have kept the faith”…and so, very confident that ‘the melodies ahead will be sweeter’.

Thank you and may God bless Cross River State!
