The Technical Assistant to Vice President Yemi Osinbajo on New Media Mr Philip Obin has felicitated with Ms Lauretta Onochie on the occasion of her birthday.
Onochie who celebrated her birthday yesterday the 9th of July is the Special Assistant to President Muhammadu Buhari on Social Media.
Obin in a statement signed by his Special Assistant on Media and Publicity Mr Kelvin Obambon and made available to journalists on Saturday, described Lauretta Onochie as “courageous, intelligent, smart, dedicated, loyal and a team player, who has displayed faithfulness and strong commitment to the Buhari administration.”
He added that “the presidential aide always looks out for people outside the government and often reaches out to such people to appreciate them – sometimes with gifts or invites them to a lunch – for standing by the Buhari Admin.”
The TA said it was therefore not surprising that President Buhari found her worthy of nomination as INEC Commissioner, adding that she is a consummate technocrat.
Obin further stated that despite Lauretta Onochie’s age, “She spends virtually 24-hours of the day surfing the internet in search of misinformation and fake news and would take her time to research and reply with the correct information that enhances social good and promote a harmonious relationship between the government and the people.”
He, therefore, prayed to the Almighty God to grant her sound health and wisdom to continue to avail Nigeria of her wealth of experience for national development.
