CALABAR — Registration has opened for the 2026 edition of the Queen of Humanity Nigeria Pageant, with the organisers setting October 30, 2026, as the deadline for applications.
The organisers, in a statement issued in Calabar, Cross River State, said qualified and interested young women could register through the pageant’s official online portal and are expected to complete their applications before the deadline.
The registration, which opened on August 30, is for the fourth edition of the pageant, themed “The True Essence of Humanity.”
According to the organisers, the competition is designed to celebrate beauty, intelligence, character, leadership, compassion and service to humanity, while providing contestants with a platform to promote positive values, champion social causes and contribute to community development.
They said contestants would undergo various stages of assessment and engagement aimed at testing their confidence, communication skills, intelligence, creativity, personality and commitment to humanitarian values.
The organisers said the pageant had, over the past four years, provided a platform for young women to emerge as “Humanity Champions” and participate in humanitarian and community-based initiatives across Nigeria.
The 2026 edition also comes with cash prizes of N5m for the winner, N3m for the first runner-up and N1.5m for the second runner-up, according to promotional materials released by the organisers.
They urged prospective contestants to approach the competition with a sense of purpose and readiness to represent the values associated with the Queen of Humanity Nigeria brand.
The organisers further appealed to corporate organisations, government institutions, development partners, philanthropists and individuals to support the pageant through sponsorships and strategic partnerships.
They said such partnerships would help promote initiatives focused on empowering young women, leadership development, humanitarian service and community development.
The Queen of Humanity Nigeria Pageant is a project of Humanity Without Borders, described by the organisers as the pet project of the Wife of the Cross River State Governor, Bishop Eyoanwan Edet Otu.
The organisers advised interested applicants to register only through the official pageant portal and provide accurate information during the application process.
