By-elections: Umahi, El-Rufai, Badaru storm C/River

In a show of support for Jude Ngaji, candidate of the All Progressives Congress, APC, in the Saturday by-election for Ogoja/Yala Federal Constituency of Cross River, Governors Dave Umahi, Nasiru El-Rufai and Mohammed Baduru Abubakar of Ebonyi, Kaduna and Jigawa States respectively, Thursday stormed Cross River State where they urged voters not to be deceived by what they described as dangerous antics of the opposition Peoples Democratic Party, PDP.

At a grand finale of APC’s campaign for the by-election at Okpoma, headquarters of Yala Local Government Area, of the state, the governors urged the people of the constituency to cast their votes for Ngaji “for true dividends of democracy”.

On his part, the host governor, Professor Ben Ayade declared that the outcome of the by-election in Ogoja/Yala federal constituency and Akpabuyo State Constituency will finally seal the fate of the PDP in Cross River.

“Cross River has socketed to the centre; Cross River is now firmly APC. The results on Saturday will confirm this, “Ayade said.

Earlier in his remark Ngaji, a former Chief Security Advisor to Governor Ayade, pledged to provide quality representation to his constituents in the green Chamber if elected.
