“Today history has been made, Africa for the first time is having the youngest National Women Leader in person of Dr. Betta Edu. I have so much confidence and trust in her as I’ve sent a woman to the National before and the story is sad but I want to assure us that this one is different because she has been tested, trusted and proven.

“You ladies must make us proud as you don’t just represent Women but Young people also, therefore your Ministry must expand beyond Women. It got to a point where I said if it is not Betta then am out, not for any bad reasons but because I believe in the youths and wants to continue giving them that opportunity to keep doing more. Dr Betta has shown me extreme loyalty and has passed all the loyalty test put before her by me as such this is only but a reward for her loyalty.

“Dr. Betta, God will bless you for all your commitment, loyalty, respect, hard work, support and diligent service to my administration and my family, my wife and I cannot thank you enough. As you return you’ll have a digital hand shake from me and once you do that, your life will never remain the same again.”

The Governor reassured cross riverians that power must be returned to the South and that he’ll continue to stand by all his House of Assembly Members until the end. He called on all Nigerians to continue to support President Muhammadu Buhari to enthrone his successor and that the APC in CRS will win the forthcoming 2023 general elections with ease.

In a vote of thanks, t Betta Edu thanked the Governor and his dear wife for not only taking her as a daughter but also standing by her in all ramifications.

“God has blessed me with a wonderful father and mother in the persons of Prof Ben Ayade and his dear wife Dr. Linda Ayade, Your Excellency, you and your amiable wife are the reason behind my successes and I cannot thank you enough.

“I owe you both more respect and loyalty even as that cannot be compared to what you’ve done for me. I want to reassure you again that I’ll not disappoint or bring shame to you neither will I forget my roots. I’ll do everything possible to continue to make you proud and your interest as well as that of cross riverians will I always protect. God Almighty will continue to bless and uplift you and your dear wife for taking me to this height and for putting smiles and food on the table for thousands of cross river state youths. Your names will continue to be in the annals of history and the World will never forget you and your kindness to me and the very thousands you’ve changed their lives.”
