Saturday witnessed the Chief of General Staff to Governor of Cross River state clinching on the APC Cross River North Senate ticket ahead of the 2023 general elections across Nigeria.

Official Result of Cross River North Senatorial Primary has it that Gov Ben Ayade’s candidate and Chief of Staff, Mr. Martin Orim, has polled 254 votes to win Cecilia Adams who had zero vote. 
The results were announced by the Cross River Electoral Panel secretary of the electoral panel, Bar. Sameona Jabo, as the chair was in Calabar the state capital for other primary elections.
While reacting to the development, Orim observed that he rose through the rank and file of the political ladder as Ward Chair of a political party to become the Chief of General Staff to a state governor by the grace of God. Orim described Saturday as a ‘historic day in my life’.
