Warring communities of Yala LGA have agreed to a truce brokered by Yala LGA traditional ruling council in conjunction with security agencies and youth council.

While the crisis has reportedly claimed the lives of two young men from Ijegu, a source intimate with the development disclosed that ‘I do not know if any died from Yabu’.

Recall that a week ago, NEGROIDHAVEN reported that Ijegu and Yabu communities in Yala LGA of Cross River were embroiled in disputes over a parcel of farm land with the said land being boundary between the two communities.

We reported that that the crisis started on Saturday when two men from Ijegu went to cultivate a farmland as usual. As they were working on the land, some men from Yabu came to interrogate them in a quarelsome exchange that claimed the life of one Iji Agbaka from Ijegu-Ojor with few houses razed by fire.
