The Cross River State House of Assembly has confirmed the appointment of Mr Francis Odachi Ekpo as the Director General, Due Process and Price Intelligence Bureau NEGROIDHAVEN can report.
The House had deliberated on the request of the Governor, Senator Ben Ayade, conveyed to it in a letter signed by the Secretary to the State Government which states that the request was; “in line with the Cross River State Law No. 15 section C (a) of 2011.
Members commended the Governor’s normination noting that Ekpo was a brilliant man who has served the State creditably in other capacities.
They expressed confidence that the nominee will perform optimally and in the interest of the State.
On his part, the Speaker, Rt Hon Eteng Williams, congratulated Mr. Ekpo and urged him to justify the confidence reposed in him by the House.
You may recall that the former DG of the Due Process and Price Intelligence Bureau, Mr Alphonsus Eba had earlier resigned his appointment to contest for the State Chairmanship of the All Progressive Congress(APC).
