House Leader, Peter Odey officially Unveiled as APC Deputy Governorship Candidate

Leader of the Cross River State house of assembly, Rt. Hon. Peter Odey has been officially unveiled as the deputy governorship candidate of the All Progressives Congress in the state. The event which took place at the Ogoja council hall in Ogoja local government area moments ago was performed by the state chairman of APC, Barr. Alphonsus Eba in the presence of the gubernatorial candidate, Sen Prince Otu and other dignitaries.

With this development, Rt. Hon. Peter Odey officially becomes a running mate to the APC gubernatorial candidate, Sen. Prince Bassey Edet Otu.

In his speech Barr. Eba appreciated Sen. Prince Otu and all party faithfuls for their understanding in supporting the nomination of Rt. Hon. Peter Odey.

According to him, “the right of who becomes the deputy governorship candidate is entirely the responsibility and right of the governorship candidate and no one can take that away from him. I must thank our dear governorship candidate who has shown so much love for the people of Ogoja”.

According to him, all requirements have been met in nominating Rt. Hon. Peter Odey.

Also speaking, gubernatorial candidate of the party, Sen. Prince Bassey Otu appreciated the party for their support and cooperation.

According to him, “with the nomination of Rt. Hon. Peter Odey as a son of Ogoja, the cries of marginalization against Ogoja should be over. We will work tirelessly to ensure that our state takes the pride of place it deserves”.

Accepting the nomination, the deputy governorship candidate expressed joy over his choice as the running mate of the gubernatorial candidate of the party. “I accept the nomination for the youths of Cross River, I accept it as a son of Ogoja. If I can be so favoured, it means any youth in this state can become the president of Nigeria. I promise to work with my boss to make Ogoja great again” he said.
