An A-list songwriter, as well as recording/ performing artiste resident in Calabar the Cross River state capital metropolis has declared that he will not be performing during the 2022 Christmas Festival if his conditions are not met NEGROIDHAVEN can report.
Kanedrick ‘Fada Kane’ Kingsley Agwu recently disclosed through his social media handles that ‘I am here to inform everyone who is involved in this year’s Christmas festival performance listing that I… do not want to be part of your performance this year until you reach my terms and conditions. I have been used and deceived for so long and do not wish to be in the jump anymore… Pay me or forget about it!’
Noting earlier, Fada Kane said ‘My so-called friends only remember me when they need my help and the event is free, when the Governor is giving an artist 10 million they will suddenly remind themselves and their colleagues that I’m an Igbo man, that I’m not from Cross River State even though it’s my birth place.’
The disappointed artiste who daubed the trend as a display of hatred, tribalism and jealousy, concluded his diatribe by declaring himself ‘the god of music in Cross River’ despite the fact that he may not make the A-listing of his supposed hating, tribalistic and jealous friends who are in position of political power.
Another important twist to Fada Kane’s disclosures is that during the Ben Ayade-led administration of the state, artistes are treated unfairly in terms of benefits and incentives.
