VIDEO: Fire engulfs Amasco Petrochemical Company facility in Calabar depot

There was a fire incident at a petroleum company on Saturday in Calabar the Cross River state capital city NEGROIDHAVEN has confirmed.

Amasco Petrochemical Company petrol station at Esuk Utan/Harbour axis was engulfed in flames between 4.30PM and 5PM.

The conflagration started with one of her petrol tankers in the premises which caught fire and was burnt completely.

While recounting the incident Mr. Omori Omori an eyewitness said that ‘The tanker was completely burnt. Some facilities close by were damaged by the fire’. He disclosed that the tank farm was not affected.

As at press time, NEGROIDHAVEN could not ascertain if there was any casualty. There was an intervention to manage the incident.
