New tourism boss charges personnel to brace up for reinvention of C’River

Commissioner for Culture and Tourism Development, Ntufam Ekpenyong Iso has called on government workers and stakeholders to be ready to reinvent Cross River state as the tourism headquarters of Nigeria NEGROIDHAVEN can report authoritatively.

He made the charge Monday when he resumed duties, inspected functional offices in his ministry and received hand over notes from his predecessor, Eric Anderson.

Ntufam Iso appreciated God for the singular privilege given him to serve in the ministry of Culture and Tourism and also appreciated His Excellency the digital Governor of Cross River State, Sir Senator Prof. Ben Ayade for his magnanimity in deeming him fit to take up the responsibility and promised to put his best and bring in his wealth of experience to ensure that the administration of Sen. Prof. Ayade ends strong. He further Congratulated his predecessor Hon. Anderson on his reassignment to head the ministry of Information and Orientation.

Iso said several activities are going to take place during the elapsing five months of the Governor Ayade’s administration.

He appealed to the civil servants who were already on leave or about to round up their services to suspend and extend their services to the end of the tenure of the state government.

Speaking to the workers when he visited the different offices to inspect, Iso said ‘I will want all personnel in this ministry to cooperate with me as we work to reinvent tourism business in the state and reposition it as the number one hub for tourists, fun-seekers and culture. Furthermore, he warned that truancy and absencetism will not be condoned.

‘All hands must be on deck. Those that were on annual leave should cut short their vacation immediately. Those who were about to retire in the next few months should be patient with me.’

The commissioner said within the few months he will function, Tourism activities will be impactful even as he has directed the directors in charge of culture to list out extents of coverage.

He assured that as he embarks on visits to other arms of the ministry, he will ensure that they are maximally activated.

Speaking on behalf of the staff Mr. Ekpenyong Ojoi Deputy Director Tourism thank the Commissioner for his simplicity and words of encouragement, assured him of a more friendly and cordial relationship, innovative ideas to enable him succed throughout his stay in office.
