SPECIAL ADVISER CALLS FOR SYNERGY TO RECOVER LOST GLORY OF C’RIVER STATE

The Special Adviser Administration, Office of the Wife of Governor, Dr. Comfort Oko, has called on civil servants and politicians to be deliberate about working together to recover Cross River state and give hope to Cross Riverians, adding that the State belongs to everyone NEGROIDHAVEN can report authoritatively. 

Dr Oko who stated this during a courtesy call on her by the Women Committee of the Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) and Team Ma Adiaha Solidarity Movement, Northern Senatorial District, assured that the State Government has a listening ear and the emergence of His Excellency, Governor Bassey Otu is an answer to the yearnings for transformation by the people.

Also speaking, the Special Adviser, Programmes, Events and Projects, Office of the Wife of Governor, Dr. Inyang Asibong described Oko as a go-getter and an asset to the office, who has brought the camaraderie spirit to bare in the office. She stated that the office is ready to partner with NLC to ensure that workers welfare are protected.

Describing Dr. Oko as a great representation to all women, the Chairperson, NLC Women Committee, Dame Comrade Lydia Agaji, in her comment appreciated Governor Otu for appointing one of them and expressed confidence that she will use her office to positively affect lives.

On his part, the Vice Chairman, NLC Cross River State, Comrade Lawrence Achuta, appreciated the governor for finding Dr. Oko worthy of the appointment, informing that she had risen to an enviable position in the union and the appointment is an enablement to serve the people better.

Similarly, the Coordinator, Team Ma Adiaha Solidarity Movement, Northern Senatorial District, Hon. Agnes Atsu expressed confidence in the ability of Governor Otu to deliver on his mandate. She described him as gender friendly and stated that Team Ma Adiaha is ready to support the present administration beyond the first four years.

On her part, Hon. Torita Odey emphasised the need to render help to the helpless and less privileged, stating that it is rewarding.

Also present at the courtesy call were: Special Assistant, Religious Affairs and Special Assistant NGO, both from the Office of Wife of Governor.

Highpoint of the visit was the presentation of a congratulatory message, the renditions of women solidarity and victory song and dance.
