The Vice Chancellor of the University of Calabar, Prof. Florence Obi, has congratulated his Lordship, Rt. Rev. Msgr. Prof. Christopher Naseri on his Episcopal ordination as the Auxiliary Bishop of the Archdiocese of Calabar.
Prof. Obi, congratulated the Catholic Priest during his colorful ordination at St. Paul Catholic Church, University of Calabar.
The VC, who is a Minister of Hospitality in the Church served as church warden during the ordination.
The Auxiliary Bishop is a Professor in the Department of Religious and Cultural Studies in the University of Calabar.
While praying to God to sustain the Bishop, the VC described him as a true preacher of the gospel and a dedicated spiritual advocate of God.
She said that the University community was happy to celebrate in the joy of the Auxiliary Bishop, adding that the Bishop had impacted greatly on the growth of academics and the overall development of the institution.
The VC thanked members of the university community who came out en mass in their colorful outfit for the occasion.
