RT. HON. ODEY RECEIVES MEMBER-ELECT OGOJA STATE CONSTITUENCY, C’RIVER HOUSE OF ASSEMBLY ENGR ARUKU

The Deputy Governor of Cross River State, His Excellency, Rt. Hon. Peter Odey today received Member-Elect for Ogoja State Constituency, Cross River State House of Assembly, Engr Thomas Aruku at the Government House, Calabar.

The House of Assembly Member-Elect was in Government House to present his Certificate of Return to the Deputy Governor, following his victory at the recent appeal court judgement which declared him winner of the March 18th, 2023 State Assembly Elections and subsequent presentation of his Certificate of Return by the Independent Electoral Commission earlier today in the commission’s office, Calabar.

Rt. Hon. Odey while congratulating the member-elect on his victory at the appeal court said; “Your victory at the appellate court was a welcome development as the victory does not only validate the overwhelming support of the Ogoja people for you but reaffirms the trust and confidence that the people have in the All Progressives Congress”.

Speaking further, he urged Engr. Aruku to work tirelessly and selflessly as well as render diligent service to the good people of Ogoja State Constituency.

Engr. Thomas Aruku who was accompanied on the visit by his beloved wife, Mrs Aruku, State Chairman of the All Progressives Congress, Barr. Alphonsus Eba, and other party stalwarts, used the opportunity to thank the Deputy Governor for his support during and after the electioneering process.
