As the Super Eagles of Nigeria gear up to face Angola’s Palancas Negras in the Quarter Finals of the ongoing African Cup of Nations (AFCON) 2023, the Honorable Minister of Sports Development, Senator John Owan Enoh, has conveyed a heartfelt message to the national team, commending their recent triumph and encouraging them to pursue the coveted trophy NEGROIDHAVEN can say.

In a concise letter sent on Thursday, February 1, Senator John Owan Enoh extended his congratulations to the Super Eagles for their impressive victory against the Indomitable Lions of Cameroon in the round of sixteen. The Minister applauded the team’s performance, stating, “You outclassed and thumped an old foe who came into the party determined to halt your resolute march towards clinching the coveted trophy.”

While recognizing the team’s achievements thus far, Senator Enoh reminded them of the task ahead, emphasizing that the job would be complete when they bring the highly sought-after trophy back home as worthy “African Champions.”

He noted, “Your determination, commitment, and improvement through every match have shown all the possibilities that the team has all it takes to win the 2023 African Cup of Nations. We completely believe in you.”

Highlighting the historical significance of AFCON victories for Nigeria in 1980, 1994, and 2013, Senator Enoh urged the Super Eagles to seize the moment and make the nation proud once again. He stated, “Fate and the dream of well-meaning Nigerians have thrust this responsibility on your shoulders; you should seize this moment and do our Nation proud by ‘Doing it again.'”
