Calabar— The Executive Chairman of Akpabuyo Local Government Area, Hon. Effiom Bassey Effiong, has constituted a Transition Committee to work with the current management of the Akpabuyo Local Government Council. The committee’s primary task is to assess the council’s existing assets, liabilities, and administrative operations in preparation for a seamless handover to the newly elected council officials NEGROIDHAVEN can report.

The committee is expected to conduct a comprehensive review of the council’s affairs and submit a report detailing its findings and recommendations within 21 days. The report is anticipated to establish clear guidelines and procedures for the incoming council officials to ensure they can effectively manage the council’s resources and continue serving the people of Akpabuyo.

Hon. Effiom emphasized that this initiative is aimed at upholding transparency and efficiency within the local government’s operations. The Transition Committee, which will be officially inaugurated today, includes key stakeholders and experienced administrators tasked with executing this mandate.
