Cross River state Governor, Senator Bassey Otu, has reiterated his administration’s commitment to strengthening security and improving critical infrastructure to drive development across the state NEGROIDHAVEN has garnered.
This assurance was given by the Special Adviser on Projects, Programs, Monitoring, and Evaluation, Raphael Morphy, during a recent spot assessment tour of key infrastructure projects. The tour, which marks the commencement of the department’s 2025 Monitoring and Evaluation exercise, was conducted alongside the Chief of Staff to the Governor, Hon. Emmanuel Ironbar.
Speaking during the exercise, Morphy stated that Governor Otu remains dedicated to enhancing security by supporting and collaborating with security agencies to ensure optimal performance. He added that the administration has significantly reduced the state’s infrastructure deficit by over 40% since assuming office.
“The governor is focused on accelerating infrastructure upgrades while fostering key investments that enhance the well-being of Cross River residents,” Morphy said. “His administration is prioritizing workers’ welfare, educational expansion, healthcare access, solid minerals sector reforms, digital economy initiatives, and agricultural mechanization, among other development goals.”
Also speaking, Hon. Ironbar commended Governor Otu for his proactive approach to security, particularly in road construction, renovation of security facilities, and the provision of vehicles to enhance crime-fighting efforts.
He emphasized that these achievements are just a glimpse of the projects the governor is determined to deliver as part of his administration’s mandate to improve the lives of Cross River citizens.
