The Governor of Cross River State, Bassey Edet Otu, has approved the electrification of several communities across the state, reinforcing his People First mantra and commitment to improving lives NEGROIDHAVEN has confirmed.
Electricity is the backbone of economic growth, and for rural communities, access to power transforms lives boosting agriculture, expanding businesses, improving healthcare, and enhancing education.
Governor Otu, known for his people-centric leadership, emphasized that this initiative goes beyond campaign promises it is a deliberate effort to improve living standards and empower local economies.
Speaking on the project, the Director General of the Cross River State Electrification Agency (CRSEA), Mr. Francis Ekpo, lauded the governor’s vision, stating:
“Governor Otu is committed to bringing economic light to the people of Cross River. This government is focused on energy transformation through sound policies and governance.”
He also expressed gratitude to the governor, his deputy, Rt. Hon. Peter Odey, and the State Executive Council for prioritizing the welfare of Cross Riverians.
