The Ekondo Efak Inang Socio-cultural Association on Sunday gathered at The Apostolic Church, Ekpene Tete, Ikot Offiong Amba District, Akpabuyo Local Government Area, Cross River State, for a thanksgiving service marking the group’s 15th anniversary.
The event, which drew members, executives, and well-wishers, featured prayers, hymns, and a celebration of the association’s journey over the past decade and a half. The service was held at the district headquarters of The Apostolic Church in Ikot Offiong Amba, a community known for its strong Christian heritage.

Speaking at the service the outgoing president, Asuquo Okokon expressed deep gratitude to God for sustaining the association through 15 years of growth and unity.
“This thanksgiving is not just a ceremony; it is a testimony. When we started this journey, we did not have all we needed, but God has been faithful. Today, we gather in this church — The Apostolic Church, Ekpene Tete — to return all glory to Him who has kept us together and made us stronger,” Okokon said.
“I leave office with a heart full of thanks. Not because everything was perfect, but because through every challenge, God gave us the grace to serve. I thank every member of Ekondo Efak Inang for standing with this administration. Let us continue to build this association on the foundation of love, unity, and faith,” he added.
Following the service, a reception was held at the Government Primary School Field, Ikot Offiong Amba, where members and guests continued the celebration with fellowship and cultural displays.
The anniversary activities, which began with a valedictory session and induction of new members on Thursday, 9th April, and a visit to a motherless babies home on Saturday, 11th April, concluded with the Sunday thanksgiving and inauguration of new executive members who will serve a two-year term from 2026 to 2028.
